| What if you could reach a child in a hospital who is scared and feels she has lost control to her disease? What if you could make her laugh or make her feel she was a part of creating something truly amazing, something magical? | ||||||||||||||||
| At Open Heart Magic, we have teamed up with hospital professionals to create an innovative way to reach children through the surprise, excitement and wonder of bedside magic. | ||||||||||||||||

| This positive and personal interaction in the form of one-on-one magic helps children feel special, more confident and empowered. Our specially trained hospital volunteers use a new kind of close-up magic which we call interactive magic so children experience the joy of being part of creating the miracle, not just passively watching it. | ||||||||||||||||

And we adapt the interaction so children typically not able to be part of complimentary therapies because of mobility issues can still benefit from this positive engagement. | ||||||||||||||
| OHM Volunteers also incorporate hospital Child Life empowerment techniques into the interaction so the young patients feel more in control and are left with lasting positive memories. Children also have the opportunity to learn a trick so they're able to continue the excitement and beneficial interaction with others. | ||||||||||||||||
